My Bucket List

If you've never seen "The Bucket List" I highly reccomend it. Spark Notes plotline: Two men (Carter and Cole)find themselves diagnosed with terminal cancer. Chance would have them become roomates in the hospital, where they develop a very unlikely friendship. Over months of chemo, the two of them develop a mutual "bucket list" of things they wish to do before they die. Their list is comprehensive and adventurous- from visiting the pyramids in Egypt, to skydiving, to riding motorcycles on the Great Wall of China.
(their full list)
Witness something truly majestic
Help a complete stranger for a common good
Laugh till I cry
Drive a Shelby Mustang
Kiss the most beautiful girl in the world
Get a tattoo
Skydiving
Visit Stonehenge
Spend a week at Louvre
See Rome
See the pyramids

While their list has some very tangible items on it, I love the intangibles. I don't want to spoil the movie for you, because you REALLY should see it. But after watching it, it made me think about what my list would have on it. I think we all have a list in our mind, but actually writing it down makes it a bit more real. (not to mention easier to keep track of).

When Carter and Cole are sitting on top of the Great Sphynx in Egypt, Carter asks Cole two questions:
1. Have you found joy in your life?
and
2. Have others found joy because of your life?

Some questions to keep in mind as your write your lists! Have fun...
