Am I Getting Old?

Tonight I found my BlueTooth in a teacup, submerged in water in the sink. Now this scenario is odd enough but how it got there is really quite understandable. Forget the fact that it took me all day to even remember the last time I saw it. I have this little issue--I hate losing things. It doesn't matter if it's a free pen I got at a hotel room or a piece of sentimental jewelry, I scour my room/car/wherever until whatever is missing is found! (much like the parable in the Bible about the woman who loses one coin and sweeps her house until she finds it...)

Ask my mom, poor thing, I don't know how she put/puts up with me- I have been like this since I was probably 13 or 14. If I lose something, it consumes my day. I have a methodology down pat where I visualize in my mind the last time I had the missing item and then I carefully back track until a light bulb goes off and I can remember what happened to the item. I am happy to report that I am getting better and try let what I lost 'happen upon me' in its own time. Last night, I remembered putting my bluetooth in my purse because it needed charged. I came into my room and it wasn't there so I thought perhaps I had left it in the car. Long story short it wasn't there when I went to get it this morning. So I forgot about it, thinking I dropped it on the floor in my room. Well it wasn't there. Imagine my surprise when I went to do the dishes tonight and it was in a mug full of water in the sink. Poor pink bluetooth, RIP. I must have accidentally thrown it in the mug that was in my car.

These signs are making me a tad worried. Am I losing it at the age of 25? Do I need to get away for a weekend retreat? Only time will tell...
