This blog has nothing to do with dollar bills, but Beth and I hada blast belting out some quality tunes in the car tonight. Good times!
I am still fighting for good blogger status, perhaps since I blogged twice in one day last week, I am on the right path!
As of late, I have been thinking about criticism. What exactly does it accomplish? Generally speaking, I must say that I think criticism accomplishes the exact opposite of its intended purpose. Some may disagree, arguing the old "constructive criticism" theory. But honestly, I truly feel that IF YOU AREN'T APART OF THE SOLUTION,YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.
Have you ever been around a "Debbie Downer"- you all know who I mean. That person who, no matter what situation, what circumstance, they can find the negative. For instance, if they were to win the lottery, the first words out of their mouth might be, "I hope I don't get robbed." OR "Great,I have to pay the taxes on this!"
These "Debbie's" are often the ones who delve out "constructive criticism"(we'll call these people Carla Criticizers) more often than not, without even being asked their opinion on something. These same Debs/Carlas rarely are seen offering a solution, or better yet, actually acting to help solve the problem.
Some points to ponder:
we all do things differently,we all accomplish things differently
why criticize?
if you're not apart of the solution, you're apart of the problem
why criticize?
if you're not apart of the solution, you're apart of the problem
Don't be a Debbie Downer/Carla Criticizer! This time of year especially, make sure you a criticizing by creating a better way or any way to solve the problem at hand!
