California Dreamin'

I'm finally back to a regular sleep schedule! California was AMAZING, everything I thought it would be and more. As a first timer to the state, I got to do everything I wanted to, and then some! From the moment Beth and I started out, it was a laugh a minute, and now more than ever, I am convinced that we need to have a reality show. There are just so many justifications for that...

Anyhow, I got back to the art of journaling while gone. Since I couldn't exactly blog while there, it was the old leather bound notebook and pen. So 1999.

There are so many things I could say! But i'll stick with one story for now. Beth and I got a free rental car for the week! (a convertible no less!!) The agent asked us for our number (I guess we are a package deal). We politely declined, and drove off in our PT Cruiser, ready for what the week would bring. A couple hours, one Marcia Cross sighting, and free dinner from Chris Hatch later, Beth had two missed calls from a restricted number. When the restricted number shows up again, she answers. IT WAS THE CREEPSTER RENTAL AGENT. He had accessed the companies records, and called us! EWwwwww! Needless to say, I called the company, spoke with the manager, and was promised compensation. Fast forward to Monday, we go to turn our car in, ready to fight the good fight! The manage offers 50% off. Not good enough for Bethany Grubbs. He comes back with another offer, rental for FREE! So, thanks to being blessed and highly favored, abounding with grace (see Beth's blog), we drove around CA in a convertible our whole trip--gas included!!
