Make new friends, but keep the old...

...one is silver and the other's gold!

Today was a great day!! I took a personal day to spend time with some precious friends from WC (and Mary's wedding). It started out very normally, with a nice lunch at Panera in Wexford. Love their food, and today tried a new salad (the strawberry walnut poppy seed)...

On to a glorious afternoon at a nail spa where the five of us lined up to get mani/pedis! It was wonderful!! It was the Real Housewives of the North Hills for sure (Mary is the only one married, but that's okay! Not all housewives are married, as Beth made sure to mention).

Next order of business, antiquing for household goods for Mary's new house!! We stopped at not one, but two antique stores that were closed!! Third time was the charm, we headed to the Goodwill. Beth and I both bought stuff, but Mary bought nothing....

While in line, Beth turned to an older woman behind us and started a conversation....which lead to her revealing that she was an antique dealer and had a garage full of stuff! So what to we do? We follow her to her home (....we come from a place of "yes", what can I say?) What a jackpot! This woman had the most STUNNING furniture and decorative items! It was amazing!!! Once again, Beth bought something, Mary did not. I really loved an original painting she had framed of a Paris street. I debated over buying it, and maybe I should have. It was $35. Looking back, I may regret that. However, I was trying to abide by some wise words spoken by Jennifer Aniston in "The Break Up": Never buy a piece of art work you don't have to have. Free advice of the day.

Dinner at Aladdin's in Cranberry followed, and ofcourse no girl day is complete without a trip to Target! I restrained myself from buying anything there! It was great!!

I miss my friends from all over...it is ALWAYS amazing to see them, even if it's just for a short while.
