Creation

This past week, I spent some time with good ole Mother nature. If you know me at all, you know that I am not really the out doorsy type. I have never been athletic or granola(thanks for the term, Nora!). I truly admire those people, girls more specifically, who run around sweating, and looking like they should be in the Olympics. I am most likely the most uncoordinated person ever, and trip on a regular basis. In fact, I tripped getting out of my tent about 17 times in five days.

Despite my lack of coordination/allergies to all things nature-y, I headed to the Agape Farm in Mt. Union for Creation (camping, speakers, concerts, bugs, no running water, sweating, etc).
I have to say, all things considered, I had a pretty great time! Sleeping on the ground, cold showers, cooking over a gas grill...it was an experience. I am a little proud of myself. But I'll probably not ever go again (atleast with a tent...I saw some pretty nice campers/pop out contraptions that I could deal with).

Regardless, it was AMAZING at night time. The sky was filled with stars, the sunsets were breathtaking, and the mountains were majestic. Sometimes, we really need to "get away from it all" and not be around all the distractions and panic of every day life. The highlight of my week was being able to hear Joyce Meyers in PERSON. Joyce is one of my favorite speakers. Always challenging, always refreshing and always enlightening. She said something that stuck with me in regards to Christianity and life: "You can't be selfish and be happy. You can't do everything, but you can do SOMETHING. The only thing you can't afford to do is nothing."
