As you may have noticed, I have not blogged very much recently! Life has been a whirlwind of delightful activity! But is slowed down for a moment or two!
This blog is dedicated, to my boss, Vern. This morning, I awoke, got dressed, and was rearing to get to the office to get some work done. I walked outside, hit my remote starter, and nothing happened. I wasn't too concerned, as I thought the battery in the remote was maybe dead. So I manually opened the door lock (hadn't done that in a while!) and got in. I put the key in the ignition, and turned it. Nothing. Dead silence. Crickets churping.
Normally in a case like this, I would call my daddy, he'd come to the rescue and i'd be on my way. That was what life was like living at home, now i'm on my own, and live about 45 minutes from my parents, so that wasn't really a viable option. Plus I did try to call my dad and his cell was off!! Rude! ;-)
So anyways, I knew who to call in my time of need away from home- Vern to the rescue!! For those of you who do not know Vern, you should. He is truly a jack of all trades, a modern day Renaissance man. Every day, he shows me that he knows how to do just about anything! He can be found fixing cars, sometimes in a suit because he was just at a meeting with a foundation director. He knows every phone number in the Gibsonia, Bakerstown, Valencia and half of Butler areas. Our business and facilities manager, is always saying that we need to just sit Vern down and have him talk and write down everything he says, because he has such a wealth of knowledge! And there is no person too great or too small for Vern to help! So this blog, is for you Vern, thanks for saving the day and charging my car battery today! You're one in a million.
