So It Begins!

So it begins!

My dreams are coming true, as i've recently been hired by Trends to Traditions, a local wedding and event planning firm. How excited am I?
Ever since I saw the Wedding Planner, with Jennifer Lopez, i've aspired to plan weddings. What could be more glamorous, right? We shall see! I've had a taste here and there of event planning, so the dillusions of granduer aren't really that unrealistic. I know it will be hard work, craziness, sore feet and insanity (and a touch of bride-zillas)--but the end results will be worth it. I can't think of a more special day that a couple will have--the start of a beautiful marriage and relationship. Knowing that my work and being there makes things easier for them will be worth all the potential shenanigans in the world! So here I go....

My first experiences will be shadowing rehersals, and two weddings. One in Heinz Chapel, with a reception at the Omni William Penn. The other is holding their reception at the acquarium at the zoo!! Yayayay! I don't want to turn this blog into a wedding planning blog, but I have started another blog to chronicle my adventures. Maybe they will turn into a book someday, who knows!

So thus begins another new chapter in my life, as junior wedding planner, or JLO for short.
