Emotional Roller Coaster

What a week. And it's only Wendesday!

On Monday, one of the Lighthouse's transitional housing homes (Blanchard House) caught on fire, thus making this week a whirlwind for most if not all of the staff here. Five of our residents are temporarily homeless. :(
It's been an interesting time, but it's also been really cool to see everyone in our community rally and support the Lighthouse and the Blanchard House girls. So many people have called to donate personal items, clothing and money for the rebuilding process. And, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, because of this fire, our Blanchard House will be rebuilt and be a whole lot nicer for future residents. :)

Personally, i've also been having some things arise that make some days harder than others. I know that all things work together for good, but sometimes it's hard to see where God is going with me. I do trust Him, and I know that I need to let go of control, but that is hard for me to do.

Today it's snowing.

I'm not ready for winter! I was still hoping for an Indian summer to hit. But it is November I suppose. Lot's of fun things are coming up--our fall Retreat, a trip down to St. Louis to visit my dearest friend Leslie (and Mike!), and THANKSGIVING. My favorite holiday! So you could say that i'm excited for November!
