Last week I took the plunge into the world of MAC. I have to say I am very satisfied so far. Not only is my MAC "really cute"(it's silver! And something about that little apple glowing on the front is very gratifying--and as Beth said, the backlit key pad is 'mesmerizing'), but it's very functional. I love the programs!
I must admit, I do feel a little unsure about what all I can do with my MAC-I feel like the possibilities are endless! I wonder if this is what an older adult feels like in computer class?? It's very intimidating, and i've had my moments of frustration! I am still getting used to my mouse, which is a keypad that I can click anywhere! I find myself trying to "right click" or "left click" but I can't!
There are short cut commands for everything on a MAC--to save a picture you hit command S instead of right clicking. I don't know if i'll ever learn all these little tricks. Regardless, I am happy with my purchase and I'd say i'm most looking forward to learning my Photoshop and InDesign programs. Some perks of the MAC?? A built in video/photo camera. Hours of entertainment are sure to be had now!!
(yes, I realize this is a VERY nerdy blog. In fact, I am a nerd. Our business manager at the LH confirmed it this week.)
