Here Comes Trouble

This weekend I went to Aquire the Fire in Oakland with the youth group at my church. It was amazing! A few Sunday's ago, I was officially installed as a youth leader and this was our first big outing where I was involved. Youth are so funny-it's hard to believe I was a teenager once!
Anyways-back to the matter at hand, ATF. I remember attending as a youth group member 456 years ago. I loved being apart of the amazing worship and teaching!

These past few months, i've been feeling a little strung out (for lack of a better description). I had/have been doing a lot of things in my own strength-grad school, work, family, church, friends..rinse wash and repeat. I got to a point where I think I was close to a break-down. Those closest to me where able to see that something wasn't clicking-that I was on edge.

I went to ATF anticipating something good. I didn't know what, I just knew that the things I had been going through had to be leading me to something amazing. The weekend was BETTER than I could have ever hoped. Every message, song, session and conversation was JUST what I needed. It was like getting a big hug from God himself.

The theme of the weekend was "Here comes trouble"-we learned about creating a good kind of trouble by standing up for what we believe to those we care about. Definitely caused me to think about what I stand for and where I want to be in life. So awesome!
