Never a Bride...

Until today!

Let me back up and explain this statement. Today was one of the funnest days i've had in a long time. Lately especially, I have really been enjoying rooms (Bethy-Brandy-New). In general, we have just been having fun!

Today we worked all morning at Safe Harbor, the "new" building The Lighthouse bought in downtown Butler. Props go out to Bakerstown Methodist Church, and their communicans class who were there to help for a service project. What a fun, but challenging project!
Don't worry, the bride part is coming.

Anyways, after the morning was over, we headed back to The Lighthouse, checked our email, voicemail and interns, and then headed back to Butler to meet with a board that gives funding to the transitional housing program.

Also, random note: This morning while I was getting dressed, I randomly decided to wear a ring on my engagement finger. Now I know, it was fate. You'll understand in a moment.

On our way back home, Beth wanted to stop at a bridal store on route 8. Well, i've never been one to say no to stopping at any store, let alone a bridal store. So, in we went!

Some time later, I had tried on six wedding dresses and Beth had tried on one!! AND this is the crazy part------i'm almost embarrassed to type this.....but not really.....I BOUGHT ONE! For $99!!!

I know what you are thinking!! "What the heck was I thinking!" Well, this was actually a very rational purchase, aside from the fact that it was completely unplanned and spur of the moment!

Here is my reasoning:
1- $99--hello!!! I have spent more than that one every bridesmaid dress I have ever bought (Right now 5, and counting)
2- Better safe than sorry! What if I need to get married really fast? The biggest dilemma is solved! A dress??? Check. Now all I need is a reception sight, photographer and some flowers....oh, and a groom.
3-Carpe Diem! Seize the Day!!! You only live once: Some girls search high and low, and still never find a dress that they love the way I love this dress!! And for $99?? Come on now!

So, I am not going to post the picture of me in "the dress", just in case, you know, I get married and my groom happens to read this blog! Talk about a spoiler!
