It Started With a Ticket

The sight of those flashing lights is all together a little more familiar than I'd like to admit. Those red and blues that show up in the rear view mirror. My weekend started with a ticket from the police. Route 8 is a sess-pool of police. They are hiding behind every tree, in every parking lot--i'm pretty sure there is one who parks in a cemetery. Come on now, is nothing sacred?!
I will not complain too much, as I am a habitual speeder--and I cannot fault the Gibsonia 5-0 too much for enforcing the law and doing their job. So, as I stated, my weekend began with a ticket.
Determined not to let that ruin anything, I decided to just be happy and pumped for what was sure to be a great weekend. And it was.
For starters, lets talk about the amazing weather. You know, the warm sensation you get from a really great hug?How ready am I for springtime?! SO READY. I love the sun, I feel like the warmth of the suns rays is almost like God's way of giving me a big fat hug.
So the amazing weather was like a cancellation of my ticket, except not really bc I still have to write that check. C'est la vie.
I had a date on Saturday night...with my baby brother Tyler. He is such a gentleman and will be such a catch when he is ready to test the tumultuous waters of relationships with girls. I am counseling him not to do that for about 10 years, as he is 16. We went to Chipotle in Robinson. *off topic but vital--if you have not gone to Chipotle, you are missing out greatly. Go there.* After Chipotle, we went to Target and bought the new Harry Potter movie. Some people have issues with Harry Potter, I am not here to debate about Harry Potter, but I will say I am a fan.The newest Harry Potter is really good, and has a lot of Biblical parallels. It was fun to just hang out with Ty and be with my family.
Sunday is my favorite day of the week, church, singing, family, food--what could be better? Today we had a big luncheon with everyone in the church--we all brought side dishes and then our Pastor cooked fabulous roast and prime rib. I did cook a green bean casserole that got a few nods by the moms of the church.
All in all, what could have been a weekend ruined by a speeding ticket, ended up being a really good time.
