Nadine Does It Again!

This blog is not becoming a fitness blog, but let me tell you something. Last night we had bootcamp. And was it bootcamp! It was AWFUL(in that good kind of way, ofcourse). I should have known something was up when Nadine seemed really relaxed during warm up. She even asked us what we wanted to work on-note to self, don't be really honest with her when she does that. You'll understand why in a moment. Beth and I went over a list of areas we wanted to target (basically the whole lower half of our bodies)--in a nutshell, I asked Nadine to give us our best beach bodies ever in one night.

I think Nadine (the instuctor) was trying to impress Kris (the yoga, pilates, spinning instructor) who decided to join in our class last night.

I was taken off gaurd because boot camp has NEVER been this hard. Granted, I realize that real boot camp would probaby cause my heart to stop beating, but still. Nadine was relentless. We started with a squat series that left my legs burning a shaking--and that was the easist part of the class! We did weight intervals, push-up,sqaut-thrust-mountain climbing intervals, ran the stairs, did jumping jacks, resistance bands, medicine balls on the wall, abs, floor work, plank work and stepping. What was supposed to be an hour long class, turned into an hour and twenty minutes.

Thank God Beth goes to boot camp with me--she happened to request hip hop music, so atleast we got to laugh at eachother when we were dancing. I think Nadine really likes us, everytime Beth and I will laugh and talk, I see her trying to hide a smile.

Not at all like a real bootcamp instructor. But don't let her smile decieve you. If you think she's getting soft, then just come to a class and see what she is REALLY all about.

I'm going to go take an ice bath for my legs now. K, bye.
