Saari to Say....

This past weekend I had a unique opportunity--I was invited to a true to the core, girls sleepover for ages.....18 and up.

It gets better!!

The woman hosting the party is from Hyderabad, India (sp???)==she is all sorts of interesting! She and her husband uprooted themselves a little over a year ago,and moved to Pittsburgh. They are now members of our church, and I am so thankful that they are. Pearl and Alex Ghanta have opened my eyes to culture and so many other things I never knew I didn't know about.
Alex works for a major Christian ministry full-time, and his work often takes him out of the US--so what does Pearl do when he's gone---throw a big party!
We ate genuine Indian food for dinner, dessert and breakfast! It was awesome! One of my favorite parts of the evening was trying on genuine Saari's from India. What a unique culture they have! These dresses are what some Indian women wear every day! I guess they aren't down with rolling out of bed and wearing your PJ's to run errands.
I just loved the colors and details each Saari had, and it was really cool because each of us chose a Saari that perfectly suited our individual styles and personalities!
It's always fun to experience new culture, even if it is right here in Pittsburgh, Pa.
